History of Electrolysis

 
The process of electrolysis for permanent hair removal was discovered in 1875 by ophthalmologist Dr. Charles Michel for removing ingrown eyelashes. 

Today, electrolysis includes three modalities: 

  • Electrolysis (direct current)
  • Thermolysis (alternating current)
  • The Blend (both of the above currents)

With advances in technology, electrolysis is even more comfortable and effective than ever before.
